UGANDA MOUNT ELGON HERITAGE
UGANDA ELGON HIGHLANDS
Cultivated on the fertile slopes of Mount Elgon along Uganda's eastern border, this exceptional coffee thrives at elevations ranging from 1,600 to 2,200 meters above sea level. The region's rich volcanic soils, abundant rainfall, and cool mountain climate create ideal conditions for producing high-quality Arabica coffee with remarkable depth and character.
Grown by dedicated smallholder farming families, these carefully nurtured coffee trees produce beans known for their vibrant sweetness, smooth body, and delicate fruit notes reminiscent of melon and stone fruit. The high-altitude environment allows the cherries to mature slowly, developing greater complexity and balance in every cup.
Mount Elgon is widely regarded as one of East Africa's premier coffee-growing regions, where generations of farmers continue to cultivate coffee with care and respect for the land. The result is a distinctive coffee that captures the unique terroir of Uganda's volcanic highlands while showcasing the exceptional quality for which the region has become known.
